Marcia Bamber, BScPT is a registered physiotherapist with over 25 years
experience, a yoga teacher, a certified craniosacral therapist and Upledger teaching
assistant, and a certified presenter for Healing from the Core. She is passionate
about guiding people through the exploration of balance in their bodies
and in their lives using all these tools.
She is in demand as a physiotherapist who has a lot of experience treating
many types of conditions including concussions, headaches, and many types of pain. She is experienced in treating pregnant mothers, babies and children with a wide variety of challenges, including nursing difficulties, torticollis, colic and reflux.
In her physiotherapy practice she uses craniosacral therapy, acupuncture, individualized exercise prescription and the embodied mindfulness techniques from the Healing from the Core curriculum as well as traditional manual therapy techniques. She loves to share how these gentle practices can make huge differences in function and well being and how they can empower clients to take charge of their own well being.
She has been a practitioner of yoga since age twelve and in 2015 she fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a yoga teacher, studying at Yasodhara Ashram in British Columbia. She is delighted to be offering adapted yoga classes to people with mobility or pain issues that would make it difficult to participate in a regular yoga class as well as gentle hatha classes.
In her spare time Marcia loves being outside, walking, biking, skiing, playing her guitar , practicing yoga and doing any kind of dance including contact improv.
